Jennifer has been providing comprehensive orthopedic and pelvic health Physical Therapy in Madison since 2001. Prior to launching CoreActive Therapy, she developed and promoted women's health programs, including mentorship of providers, at two area outpatient physical therapy clinics. Jennifer holds a Certificate in Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) and is the longest continuously BCIA board certified EMG Biofeedback provider for pelvic muscle dysfunction in the Madison area.
Jennifer studied physical therapy in Rochester, MN receiving her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the Mayo Clinic in 2001. While in graduate school she was the recipient of the Erik J. Aasen Humanitarian award. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Section on Women's Health of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a dedicated volunteer: as a youth soccer coach, at local grade school events - such as 'field day', a favorite - and in 2017 she founded a 501c3 non-profit organization to oversee the Myrtle & MJ Scholarship honoring her grandmothers' dedication to healthcare & community betterment values. As president of Future Leaders WI Scholarship Foundation, Jennifer is committed to future generations of resilient, action-oriented, and positive students 16years and over pursuing careers in healthcare, education and community betterment.
Jennifer is passionate about running, pelvic health, prevention, and holistic care. She enjoys bridging the gap between traditional healthcare/rehab and wellness/fitness, and strives to inspire others to achieve their goals. Jennifer grew up playing team sports and studying ballet from age 3-18. After having children she began triathlon and endurance training in earnest. Jennifer completed Ironman WI 2015 as an Ironman Foundation athlete raising money for Coaches vs Cancer WI. Jennifer loves training for road and trail races alike; she has ran eight marathons, is a repeat Boston Qualifier (she finished the 120th Boston Marathon in 2016), and has completed four of six World Marathon Majors. Next up: London in 2019. During down time she enjoys reading, hiking, concerts, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family & friends.
