Born & raised in Madison, WI, Jennifer is honored to offer teens and adults of all ages a unique resource for specialty Physical Therapy and wellness through strength & conditioning, preventive health education, rehabilitation and injury management.

 

Bridging the gap between traditional rehabilitation and fitness, Jennifer is passionate about Women's Health, running, and holistic care. Jennifer grew up playing team sports (volleyball, basketball, & softball) and studying ballet. After having children she began endurance training in earnest. In 2006 her journey into the sport of triathlon began; she completed her first marathon in 2009. Jennifer completed Ironman WI 2015 as an IM Foundation athlete raising over $4,000 for Coaches vs Cancer WI

 

Jennifer enjoys training for road and trail races alike. She is an avid marathoner, repeat Boston Qualifier, and a Six Star Finisher having completed each of the World Marathon Majors: Chicago (2014), Boston (2016), New York (2017), Berlin (2018), London (2019) & Tokyo (2024). In Sept 2024 Jennifer traveled to Patagonia, Chile for a trail 42K; she aspires to run a marathon on all seven continents. Additional hobbies include reading, adventuring in nature, live music, travel, and spending quality time with family & friends.

 

 


Michelle S.

Class Instructor

Level II Essentrics® certified

 

 

Michelle teaches group and private Essentrics® classes at CoreActive Therapy. The positive and restorative impacts of Essentrics® inspired her to become a certified instructor to assist others in their pursuit of improving and regaining strength, mobility, and overall fitness. She enjoys teaching a variety of clients across age spans, from competitive and recreational athletes looking to increase performance or prevent/recover from injury, to individuals looking to improve their level of everyday functional movement.

 

Michelle holds a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction and a Masters in Social Work. Her hobbies include supporting her three children in their interests, making stained glass art, well-intentioned gardening, attending live music concerts and festivals, being the caboose on the tandem bicycle she enjoys with her husband, playing board games, baking (and eating said baked goods), and reading great books. Michelle is a long-time CoreActive Therapy supporter and is proud to be part of this team of exceptional service providers.

 

 

 


Julie S.

Julie is a lifelong runner and enjoys road biking. Physical fitness has always been important to her. Julie is an avid supporter, facilitator, coach, an advocate for the many benefits of youth athletics. She enjoys spending time watching her children's sporting activities with her husband. Julie also enjoys volunteer raising guide dogs for the blind through Occupaws.
